The executive members of Georgia Southern's Interfraternity Council (IFC), including Scott Devries, recently attended the Southeastern Interfraternity Conference (SEIFC), held to provide IFC executive members from all over the U.S. with resources to enhance and improve their councils. Georgia Southern's Fraternity and Sorority Life was recognized in the top tier of Greeks nationwide for having an all Greek GPA that is higher than the all campus average GPA.

Georgia Southern's IFC VP of Programming Chandler Avery was elected to the national SEIFC board as the VP of Programming in charge of planning the conference for the following year.

Georgia Southern IFC President Spencer Chambers and IFC VP of Judicial Affairs Jared Hubbard entered in a case study with Order of Omega and placed second beating teams including Wake Forest University, Clemson, Auburn and Florida State.

Franciso Lugo, director of Fraternity and Sorority Life at Georgia Southern, was a track leader in diversity and inclusion. Assistant Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life Kinsley Baker presented on how to engage older chapter members as a young leader.

The conference also incorporated job specific tracks for attendees to gain additional experience in areas such as finance, education, and judicial affairs, which were taught by impressive professionals from CEOs and entrepreneurs to professional actors and lawyers. A case study performed by the Order of Omega had two tracks which included a student-student team and a student-advisor team. The teams presented in front of a board of executive directors of fraternity and sorority life from across the nation.
